A preview of updated Family Life Instructional materials and an opportunity to ask questions will be held on October 26, 2023, from 6-7 p.m. in the Abingdon High School Library. Your child’s school will notify you of topics and content to be covered in Family Life. This notification from your child’s school will also include consent and opt-out options.

School picture make ups and retakes will be held tomorrow, Friday, October 6 in the morning. Students that were absent or would like their photo retaken will be allowed to do so. Please let their teacher know if you would like for them to have a retake.

WASHINGTON COUNTY DAY OF SERVICE. This Day of Service offers multiple community service projects across Washington County by our students. These effort will build leadership, citizenship and a sense of pride in our community. For more details see https://5il.co/24w04
Hearing and vision screenings will be this Friday, September 29, from 8:30-11:30. This will be for all Kindergarten and 3rd grade students. Students that are new to Washington County will be screened if they have not had a hearing or vision test in the past year. Pre-K will have only their vision screened.
Your student will be bringing home a sheet of coupons to use at Mamma Mia's Italian Restaurant in Abingdon. Each time your family dines there and presents one of the coupons, Mamma Mia's will donate 20% of the total to our AES PTO. Special thanks to the Ayeb/Mamma Mia family for this generous donation to our school.

Dr. Westfall (Abingdon) has kicked off Westfall Orthodontics second annual Teacher Wishlist Giveaway, 5 teachers will be awarded $300 in gift cards to stock their classroom full of wish list supplies.
